This page explains what Monarch Design & Build LLC does with information you send through this website. It describes what the site actually does today, not what a template says a website usually does.
What we collect
When you submit the estimate form we receive your name, the contact details you choose to give us, and whatever you write about your project. We also record which page you submitted from and any campaign tags in the link you arrived through, so we know how you found us.
Like any website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs of requests. Those logs can include your IP address and browser information. We do not use them to build a profile of you.
Advertising, tracking and cookies
This site loads the Meta Pixel, a measurement tool from Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook and Instagram). We use it for advertising and conversion measurement: to see which pages and actions lead people to contact us, and to reach similar people with advertising.
When you use this site, the Pixel sends Meta a record of page and event activity in your browser — which page you are on, and whether you did one of a small number of things we measure: viewing a service or project page, tapping a call button, starting the booking flow, or beginning the inquiry form. It also sends the standard information any web request carries, including your IP address and browser details. Nothing you type into a form is sent from your browser to Meta — not your name, your contact details, your property address, or anything you write about your project. (There is one deliberate exception, described in the next section: when an enquiry or booking actually completes, our server reports it with your email and phone in scrambled form.)
To do this Meta sets cookies in your browser (_fbp and _fbc) that identify your browser to Meta across visits, and can read the fbclid tag on links from Meta ads. Meta uses this information for measurement and advertising under its own terms and policies, which govern what it does with it once received.
We also report completed enquiries and bookings to Meta from our own server, not only from your browser. This happens after — and only after — we have actually recorded a project inquiry we received or a consultation you booked. It is how we tell whether an advertisement led to real work rather than just to a page visit.
That server-side report contains: a scrambled (hashed) form of your email address and phone number; the Meta cookie identifiers described above; your IP address and browser type; the page the enquiry or booking came from. Hashing means your email address and phone number are converted into a fixed-length code before they are sent, so Meta can tell whether they already know that person without us handing over the address or the number itself. It does not include your name, your property address, anything you wrote about your project, any estimate or price.
Because the browser and the server can report the same enquiry, both reports carry the same reference so Meta counts it once. Blocking scripts or cookies in your browser stops the browser half; it does not stop the server half, which is why it is set out here rather than left implied.
You can limit this. Browser settings that block third-party cookies or tracking scripts will stop most or all of it, as will most ad and tracker blockers, and Meta offers its own ad preference and off-Facebook activity controls in your Meta account settings. None of this affects your ability to use the site or to reach us — the phone number and the forms work either way.
Other than the above, our fonts are served from this site rather than fetched from another company, so opening a page does not send a request to a third-party font host. Our own hosting provider still receives the request, as described above.
What we do with it
We use it to reply to you and to prepare an estimate. It goes to the people working on your project. We do not currently send it to any third-party service. We do not sell it. What you write about your project, and your property address, are never sent to Meta or any other advertising platform. What is shared with Meta is described in full under Advertising, tracking and cookies above — page and event activity from your browser, and, for a completed enquiry or booking, a hashed form of your email and phone number from our server.
Text messages
If you tick the text-message box on our booking or contact form, we use your number for messages about a consultation you asked for — confirmations, reminders and scheduling updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.
We do not send marketing or promotional text messages. Agreeing to appointment messages is not agreement to marketing, and we would need to ask you separately and clearly before sending any.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share your mobile number or your text-message consent with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Ticking the box is never a condition of booking a consultation or contacting us. When you do tick it, we record what you agreed to — the wording you were shown and its version, the form you used, the page you were on and when — so the record describes itself rather than being a bare yes. The full terms are on our message terms page.
How long we keep it
We keep project enquiries for as long as we may need them to do the work and keep our records. We have not set a fixed deletion schedule, and we would rather say so than quote a number we don't follow. You can ask us to delete your information at any time and we will.
Asking us about your information
Ask us what we hold, ask for a copy, or ask us to delete it. Email team@monarchdesignbuild.co.
